Dr. Simi Jesto Joseph, DNP, MSN, RN, APN, NP-C
Dr. Joseph is the Director of Research and Education at GI Solutions, Chicago. Dr. Joseph completed her Master's degree in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner from North Park University, Chicago, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Loyola University, Chicago. She is a Clinical Research Scholar from Harvard Medical School, Boston. In addition, she is currently doing systematic review and meta-analysis with Joanna Briggs Institute through Society of Gastroenterology and Nurses & Associates.
Dr. Joseph continue her contribution in clinical research and nursing education. Through networking with colleagues from various nursing organizations, she discovered numerous opportunities to make a lasting impression in the nursing field. She is an active member of the state and national organizations such as the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing, Indian Nurses Association of Illinois & National Association of Indian Nurses of America, American Association of Nurse Practitioner, and Society of Gastroenterology Nurses & Associates. She was the past education chair and current APN chair of INAI. Her continued contribution to INAI and NAINA in the area of education and mentoring young nurses is commendable. Her current APN roles include; GI Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Scientist, National CEU speaker, Mentor for NPs, and Adjunct Professor at Benedictine University, Illinois. Dr. Joseph's present focus is on improving her leadership skills in clinical practice, nursing education, and clinical research.

Susan Mathew, DNP, MSN, RN
I am currently working as a full-time didactic Instructor at Chamberlain University – Addison, Chicago. I’ve been with the Chamberlain University for the past four years as a Clinical Instructor as well as a Classroom Faculty- since April 2013.
I began working as a Critical Care Nurse in 1993 at West Suburban Hospital, Oak Park, over 20 years. I became Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) since 2002. I also served (concurrently) as an Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse as well as the Nursing Supervisor at the same hospital.
I have a Doctoral Degree in Nursing Healthcare System Leadership Specialty Track, Masters in Nursing Leadership, and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I graduated from Upasana School of Nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1992.
I am a member of American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, and Indian Nurses Association of Illinois.
I am dedicated to the profession of nursing and committed to the nursing culture of excellence, the value of professionalism, quality outcomes and collaborative practice with patient/family centered care. As a Nursing faculty, I am committed to facilitating the best educational experience possible for the students.
